Local Area

Carnoustie is a small seaside town located in Angus.

Close to Dundee and within easy driving distance of Aberdeen, the town is most famous for it’s Championship Links Course. Apart from Golf, the town has a beach and seafront area, a number of bars and restaurants and a high street with independent shops and a small supermarket.

The Old Manor is about a mile outside the town, surrounded by farmland and with an unobstructed view of the sea.

A place by the sea

The Old Manor is a mile (approx 20 mins walk) from the sea. A sandy beach with a natural harbour stretches along the coastline of Carnoustie.

Close to the beach is combined footpath / cycleway (part of National Cycle Route 1) that can be walked or cycled five miles north to Arbroath or south to Monifieth. Carnoustie features three golf courses and a further 25 courses are available within a one hour drive.

Things to do nearby

Carnoustie seafront features a cafe, kids adventure playground and crazy golf (additional charge).

There are a number of restaurants and takeaways in the town, ranging from a chippy to fine dining.

We are only too happy to make recommendations to our guests.
